Does Axiom transfer paper work on garments of all colors?
Axiom transfer paper works best on white and light-colored fabrics.
Will I be able to use my desktop printer?
Yes. Under the Specifications tab, you can find suggested printer settings. It is recommended that you test the paper on your chosen printer and material first.
Do I need to buy a heat press or can I use an iron?
You can use an iron. However, a heat press is recommended since it can perform a more reliable garment pre-treatment and takes less time to complete the transfer process.
What is the process when using a heat press?
1. Seat heat press at 375-400 degrees Fahrenheit and allow to come to set point.
2. Set press for medium pressure.
3. Preheat garment for a few seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
4. Place transfer face down and press for 25-30 seconds.
5. Transfer can be removed hot or cold.
What is the process when using an iron?
1. It is best to use a smooth, hard, non-porous surface.
2. Preheat the iron on the highest setting (cotton/linen). Do not add water to iron.
3. Allow the iron to preheat for 5 minutes.
4. Place a pillowcase on the ironing surface. Iron to remove wrinkles.
5. Pre-iron the faric to remove all moisture and wrinkles.
6. Position transfer paper image side down on your garment.
7. Using firm pressure, slowly iron over the entire surface with sufficient overlapping back
and forth, bottom to top, and along the edge moving continuously for 3 minutes per garment.
8. Remove transfer paper immediately or when it cools.
What are the washing instructions for the transfer?
Wash and dry your transfer according to your fabric's normal wash instructions. You can iron directly on the transfer as well.
How do you store the paper?
Store unused paper in a cool, dry place, sealed in plastic, so not to be exposed to any excess moisture. |
